Hi! My name is Colleen Bennett and I am a passionate designer with an extensive knowledge of the retail space design, 3-dimensional design, interior design, and vendor relations. I am currently a Senior Designer designing fixtures and store layouts for Fossil Watches, but have vast experience with other retailers including Nordstrom, Starbucks, Forever 21 and others. My various experiences have taught me how to easily work with a variety of departments while maintaining a flexible, organized outlook on the job at hand. I thrive in creative, fast paced environments and am continuously inspired by my day to day experiences. My education covers a wide variety of design practices, including a BFA in Industrial Design from Carnegie Mellon University with a focus in Interior Furniture Design and a Minor in Architecture. Additionally I have a Professional Certificate in Interior Architecture from UCLA. These experiences have made me well versed in a broad spectrum of design programs including, but not limited to the entire Adobe Creative Suite, Sketchup, and Solidworks. I am also well equipped to manage both 3D and 2D prototypes, as this is a large part of my current position. I pride myself on my ability to take initial design concepts and execute innovative designs. I consistently focus on considering the customer when designing, thinking through designs based on customer needs, interactions, and previous experiences. This involves creating 3D renderings, prototyping, and value engineering to meet a specific budget. I am well versed in working with various vendors to complete projects using a variety of materials in the process.
