I’m David Bart-Hernandez, a multidisciplinary media music composer and sound designer based in Saint-Hubert, Quebec. I create immersive AV experiences for corporate, film, and broadcast projects—from concept to delivery—blending music composition, sound design, Foley, and post-production to help stories land with impact.
With over a decade of hands-on experience in audiovisual design, pre-sales engineering, and leadership of soundtracks for marketing videos and films, I thrive on cross-functional collaboration, acoustical modeling, DSP design, and building scalable AV systems. When I’m not composing or designing, I enjoy mentoring teams and exploring new sonic textures to keep ideas fresh.

This video presents an original musical composition created in the style of classic 1950’s horror cinema, inspired by the dramatic scoring techniques of the era—dark orchestral textures, unsettling harmonies, and emotional melodic themes.
The story is based on the novel The Elephant Man by Christine Sparks, which tells the real-life journey of Joseph Merrick, a man suffering from severe physical disfigurements who was displayed in the 19th century as a “freak show” attraction. Despite enduring public humiliation, fear, and exploitation, Merrick demonstrated a profound inner dignity, sensitivity, and humanity.
This video visually and musically explores Merrick’s emotional world—his loneliness, his pain, and the brief but hopeful light he found when finally treated with compassion and respect. The intention is to honor both the tragic beauty of his story and the storytelling style of mid-century horror films, which blended atmosphere, tension, and deeply human emotions.
Thank you for watching, and we hope this tribute captures the haunting legacy and timeless impact of Merrick’s life and Sparks’ novel.

This is Part I of a sweeping dark fantasy animated saga, where kingdoms fall, enemies strike from the Abyss, and survival demands sacrifice.

Square One" follows the tense and emotional journey of two friends, Daniel and Leo, as they confront their strained relationship and past conflicts one fateful night. The story begins with Daniel parked outside Leo’s house, responding to a late-night call from his troubled friend. Leo, visibly distressed, requests a place to stay for the night after being kicked out by his sister. Despite Daniel’s initial reluctance, Leo enters the car, and they embark on a journey fraught with tension and unresolved issues. As they drive through the night, the tension between Daniel and Leo becomes palpable. Daniel, frustrated by Leo’s unwillingness to open up about the cause of his eviction, confronts him about their recurring pattern of conflict. Leo, defensive and resentful, lashes out at Daniel, accusing him of judgment and privilege. Their argument escalates as they both reveal pent-up frustrations and grievances. Daniel accuses Leo of taking advantage of their friendship and refusing to take responsibility for his actions, while Leo feels judged and misunderstood by Daniel’s perceived privilege. Ultimately, their confrontation reaches a breaking point when Daniel decides to confront Leo about his behavior, refusing to continue enabling his self-destructive tendencies. Leo, hurt and angry, decides to leave the car, symbolically cutting ties with Daniel. As Leo walks away, Daniel grapples with his decision, torn between his frustration with Leo’s behavior and his loyalty as a friend. In a moment of reflection, Daniel realizes that their friendship may be irreparably damaged, but he also acknowledges his own role in perpetuating their cycle of conflict. Written by Akash Prasad
