Hi, I’m Daniela Cantu, a filmmaker and writer based in Chicago, currently pursuing a Master of Science in Magazine Journalism at Northwestern University. My work spans directing, screenwriting, and documentary storytelling, often on cross-cultural collaborations between Emerson College and Paris College of Art. I aim to blend creative practice with critical thinking to explore underrepresented voices and diverse storytelling forms. I love shaping narratives from concept to screen, collaborating with producers, editors, and actors, and mentoring peers through student councils and film festivals. My goal is to combine media critique with hands-on production expertise, whether as a casting associate, film critic, or arts educator, and to inspire others to tell their stories with clarity and heart.
