I’m Dan, a Freelance Designer with a focus on brand identity. I began my design journey in London, where I honed my skills working for a prominent product start-up. Over the years, I gained experience across the UK working at small design studios and award-winning advertising agencies. I took the plunge into the freelance world in 2018. I work well on my own but also love to collaborate with other creatives and particularly enjoy the concept and development stage in projects. For me, the design process is as crucial as the final outcome. Witnessing first-hand the positive effects of strategic design on the growth of businesses keeps me motivated and inspired to keep creating.

    uniE621 Pike House
Logo and Visual Identity toolkit got Pike House—a creative media production company.
    uniE621 Neighbourhood Works
Logo for a coworking space in London Fields.
    uniE621 10X
10X is a coworking space in the heart of Birmingham, in the newly built X building. The space is full of creativity and even has a climbing wall in the main entrance. I was approached to create a visual identity for the space, with the desire to be like no other branding seen in the area.
    uniE621 Onbord
I was fortunate enough to work with The Slow Agency on the branding for Onbord, who make ethical mutlivitamins for pets. We took a different approach to this project, sketching and dreaming up ideas - ending up with the simplest of marks for the brand. The yellow ball icon was inspired by the love dogs have for their beloved toys, which instantly gave our identity a fresh and playful look. I worked on everything from logo concepts, to visual identity and brand guidelines, as well as packaging, OOH advertising and social media templates and campaigns.

    uniE621 Stroytellers
Storytellers School of Performing Arts are based in centre of England, and offer creative arts classes for children aged 4-12. They approached me shortly after setting up, and needed a logo and visual identity for their new venture. After working closely with the team, I delivered the final logo; a badge inspired by family crest and academy logos, along with a range of fun character illustrations to use across the brand.

    uniE621 Greyfriars Church
Greyfriars Church of Reading approached me with a desire to create a brand identity that visually represents their community more accurately than their current identity. The logo is based on the iconic windows from the church building, then I developed a fun identity system from the deconstructed logo shapes. The outcome is playful and vibrant, appealing to a wider age demographic that better suits their community, giving the church a new lease of life.
