My name is Dario Meister, a 29-year-old from Basel, Switzerland. After completing my Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, I decided to explore my interest in the luxury and fashion industry, curious to see how psychology could intersect with a creative yet business-driven sector.
My first step into this world was an internship as a Studio Manager’s Assistant at Jakob Schlaepfer, a Swiss luxury textile creation company. In this role, I supported the Studio Manager in overseeing studio operations and acted as a link between textile designers, sales teams, and international clients. During the Studio Manager’s absence, I helped ensure the completion of the current collection, an experience that strengthened my ability to mediate between stakeholders and make quick decisions in a fast-paced environment.
I later pursued a Master’s degree in Fashion & Luxury Management at the Institut Français de la Mode in Paris. There, I developed a deeper understanding of the managerial, historical, and communicative dimensions of the fashion industry. Through case studies and courses such as Writing for Fashion, I refined my tone and voice, learning how to use language to evoke emotion and communicate both products and experiences.
As a Product Experience Copywriter at Lacoste for Womenswear, Menswear, and Sportswear, I wrote product descriptions that connected the brand’s iconic heritage with the contemporary consumer. I also contributed editorial pieces highlighting the vision of the new artistic director and its relevance for the brand’s evolution.
At ALaLigne Paris, a small embroidery studio specializing in personalized products, I supported marketing initiatives by writing pitches in French for potential clients and managing the brand’s social media, preparing visual content and captions on a weekly basis.
Alongside these experiences, I have spent the past year developing my own interior design studio. As part of this personal project, I create concepts and designs while also writing all communication materials—from website texts and social media to client presentations and pitches—allowing me to combine creativity, storytelling, and entrepreneurial initiative.
I am now eager to continue building on my experience in writing, communication, and creative strategy, exploring the many voices that shape the worlds of fashion, design, and luxury
