Derin Deniz Tayaksi

My name is Derin Deniz Tayaksi, and I am an illustrator and 2D animator based in Budapest. I graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Animation from Budapest Metropolitan University. My work focuses on visual storytelling through animation and illustration, combining character-driven narratives. Throughout my studies, I directed and developed several animated short films, taking part in every stage of production—from screenwriting and storyboarding to animation and compositing. Alongside animation, I am currently developing ‘Nergis’, an original children’s book and animated film project. I enjoy creating stories that connect with audiences through emotion, atmosphere, and memorable characters. I continue to explore both animation and illustration as complementary forms of storytelling.
