Since moving to the US, I earned my living as a professional illustrator, cartoonist, animator, and graphic designer. I strived to establish myself, and I welcomed every opportunity to work with prestigious companies such as Harcourt School Publishers, DIC Animation Studio, Filmation, or Cabbage Patch Kids, Inc.—among others. For the last several years I chose to freelance, and I created children artworks for established publishers (e.g. Mascot Books, Acclaim Press, Word Productions, etc.) and for self-publishing authors alike. Maybe I should mention that I'm just as comfortable within the realm of graphic and illustration desktop applications as I am with the easel, paints and brushes. My comprehensive computer skills and expertise allow me to mix and match mediums and create digital artwork for print or web. I am an active member of SCBWI (Society of Children's Book Writers & Illustrators). Two of the books I illustrated won a bronze and a silver Moonbeam Children Books Award. In 2009 I won the CJA Best Art Award for "Zaria" comic strip, published in Chess Life for Kids Magazine since 2004. I love my work, I never get tired of it and I never turn down a challenge.
