Hi, I’m Domenico Vellucci, a composer and saxophonist based between Rome and Berlin. My research explores deconstructing instrumental gestures, phonetic analysis, and the phenomenology of listening.
I write music that sits at the intersection of performance and listening, with recent works including Repente for solo flute which will be performed on April 12th during the Divertimento Ensemble Festival in Milan… I hold a Master’s Degree in Composition from the Pontifical Institute of Sacred Music in Rome (Summa cum laude), a Master’s Degree in Saxophone from the Conservatory of S. Pietro a Majella in Naples, and a Bachelor’s Degree in Modern Literature from the University of Federico II in Naples.
