Howdy,
Did I get your attention? I’m Mason and I am a Video Editor and in the short span of my professional Career (3 years) I have been fortunate to have a varied and eventful career in Post Production as an Assistant Editor and Editor.
I’ve become an adaptable member of an in-house Visual Media and Branded Content team at the Savannah College of Art and Design which has allowed me to work across a variety of video content that includes feature length documentaries, award winning Branded Content, sizzle and tribute reels the latter of which were screened at the SCAD Savannah Film Festival, and more.
I’ve gained experience in all stages of the editorial process. From being on set as a DIT to ingesting and transcoding footage, all the way through the finishing process with sound and color. I have a rounded and experienced view of the Post Production process. Including knowledge of A/V specs for in-theater and digital platforms along with experience in live switching for television. All while working on industry standard programs like Avid and the Avid NEXIS, DaVinci Resolve and the Adobe Suite. Along with organizing and archiving projects on the Avid Nexis and Frame.IO. My ability to multitask has allowed me to learn how to adapt continuously and deliver a variety of work for clients such as Kevin Costner, Tessa Thompson, BMW, Haute Couture fashion house, Lanvin and more.
Beyond that, working primarily as a contract editor has made me realize that what I’m craving most is the close knit , fast paced and personal collaborations that can truly only happen when you get the chance to make lasting connections with your peers in a creative environment. I hope you’ll give me the opportunity to show you how determined I am to help craft stories that leave an impact.
