    Local Optimization for a Multi-Location Medical Practice

    I was hired to optimize a website during a redesign.
    The site had very little visibility in organic search or on Google Maps.
    I worked with the website developer to insure that SEO best practices were used in the build. I performed keyword research and competitive analysis to determine the best keywords to target and to find gaps and opportunities.
    While the site was being built, I set up Google Business Profiles for each of the four offices. I ran an audit to see if there were issues with any local profiles - NAP consistency, duplicates, correctness, etc.
    I updated local profiles that did not match the information on the website and made sure that each location had a unique profile.
    When the redesign and build were complete, I went in an optimized the pages using the research and using Google’s best practices.
    Prior to launch, I compiled a baseline report; I mapped the old URLs to the new URLs; and added redirects to insure minimal traffic loss.
    Once the new site was launched, I performed an audit to see if the site was working properly and updated anything that was missed.
    I’ve been working with this website for over 10 years. Traffic to the site has increased by over 1000% since the relaunch 10 years ago and the site is in the top 3 positions of Google organic, Google local and AI Overviews for more than 200 keywords.
