Hello! I’m Emmie, a video editor, producer and motion graphics designer. I’ve held my passion for video since an early age, editing videos for my friends since I was 14 years old. I was lucky enough to get my degree in Film Studies at The University of North Carolina at Wilmington in 2014, and have worked as a video professional ever since.
Out of college I quickly learned that my real passion lied in sports editing and production. I moved to Charlotte, NC and started a job at Sporting News, where I was a video editor and videographer. That opportunity has since led me to work with NBCUniversal, The Women’s Tennis Association (WTA), BET365, The PGA Tour, and the ATP Tour, among many other amazing companies and leagues. My most recent position was as a Senior Video Editor & Producer with Sift, a one-stop-shop for video production needs.
I’m eager to move back to freelance to scratch my creative itch and get to know more amazing people in the industry. I am open to the variety of new projects, in sports or out of sports. I’d love to help you enrich your ideas with great video editing, motion graphics, color correction and audio enhancement.

Sense Arena was a new client for Sift in October of 2022. Sense Arena wanted to film a commercial at Davidson College, which is near where I’m based in Charlotte, NC. For pre-production, I location scouted a few weeks in advance of shooting and was a point of contact for the staff at Davidson. I then assisted on production day, helping with script supervision, lighting, and ingesting footage. During post-production I edited, color corrected and did sound design for the commercial and the multiple variations we delivered to the client. It was redeeming and exciting to be a part of every aspect of production for this commercial, and the client was very happy with the result.
Break Point on Netflix has been great for tennis and tennis viewership. After Netflix released the final episodes of Season One, the WTA and ATP joined together to film a reunion for Part Two. After garnering experience from the first reunion, Sift was able to up the production design and add new segments to the show. I was able to edit this multi-cam set-up, color correct, sound design and create the graphics for this edit. While it has less players than the first reunion, I think this one is more dynamic and lets each player shine more.
Moment in Time was an ongoing series for the ATP right before a one-year anniversary of a player winning a title. Being able to source footage from a year ago to paint the picture of Taylor Fritz’s biggest win of his career was challenging and rewarding. I edited, color corrected, produced and sound designed this video before it was published to the ATP’s weekly show, Uncovered.
When Roger Federer retired from tennis in September of 2022, Sift and the ATP weren’t given much notice. But when the GOAT of tennis retires, you have to make a tribute video, and pronto. With the help of my team from Sift, I was able to edit, sound design and color correct this piece in 3 days. It ran on all of the ATP Tours social channels and won a MusicBed award.
While freelancing in 2021, I was lucky enough to have an 8 month contract with ChiliSleep. During my time there, I edited and color corrected a few of their commercials, including this one. Editing a narrative commercial was something I had never done before since my previous experience has been documentary-style editing, but I was happy for the experience and learned so much in the process.
