I’m a Computer Science and Design student at Northeastern University with a concentration in Interaction Design, and I sit at the intersection of two disciplines that rarely overlap cleanly. Most designers can’t build what they design. Most engineers don’t think deeply about why something should be built a certain way. I do both — I’ve shipped production software used by 250+ people at a manufacturing company, designed end-to-end UX for a mental health startup from zero, and produced creative work that ran in 1,200+ retail stores and reached an email list of six million.
What that combination gives me is a shorter distance between idea and execution. I don’t hand off wireframes and wait — I understand the constraints on both sides of the table, which means I ask better questions earlier, catch problems before they compound, and build things that actually work the way they were designed to. I’ve worked across corporate, agency, and startup environments, and in each one I’ve had to move fast, communicate across functions, and own outcomes rather than just deliverables. That’s the kind of designer I am.
