Farhan Sharif Khokhar

Led the end-to-end migration from a legacy system to a modern, scalable cloud-native microservices architecture. Served as the architectural bridge between Metro Digital services and Dish Digital Services, authored RFI/RFP documents, and drove vendor evaluation. Designed and implemented robust data migration strategies, mapped monolith to microservices with emphasis on data integrity and security, and integrated AI models and payment workflows. Defined API specifications and secured API gateways with OAuth/JWT. Evaluated cloud providers and designed high-availability solutions using AWS/Azure/Google Cloud, while enforcing IAM, encryption, and network security. Mentored cross-functional teams and steered architectural governance across multiple product lines (BSS, POS, Cloud, DWH).

Own end-to-end software architecture, translating business and technical requirements into scalable, secure solutions. Established and enforced engineering standards, maintained comprehensive documentation, and collaborated with CTO, principal engineers, product owners, and security specialists. Led prototype development for innovative designs, directed high-performing teams, and mentored lead/principal engineers to reduce technical complexity and drive platform-wide initiatives.

Led design and implementation of RESTful architectures with a focus on microservices and modular code organization. Directed modernization efforts including monolith decomposition, domain task integration (Office 365, Google integrations, plugins, marketplace), and RESTful service architecture. Implemented containerization and orchestrated services with Docker and Kubernetes, contributing to secure and scalable deployments.
