I’m a native SoCal filmmaker specializing in video editing. I have over 8 years of experience in creating media for multiple platforms including directing and editing videos and promotional spots for television, web, and film festivals. In 2018, I edited San Diego’s Gay Bar History, an Emmy nominated documentary, for San Diego’s public broadcast station KPBS. I have also refined my craft by working on other projects for the LGBT and Latinx community. As an editor, I’m responsive and solve problems well, and give my all to help realize a client’s vision. I am flexible in my approach to the material, and like to find creative ways to best tell the client’s story. Classical music influences my personal aesthetic sense and how I edit dialogue to create rhythm and maintain pacing throughout a scene. I like to consider possible metaphoric, historical, and philosophical implications of the footage I’m working with, and that informs my editing style. I admire the approaches and editing choices in many of Werner Herzog’s documentaries; these evoke poetic, mindful, and spiritual qualities that resonate with me. I have an expansive storehouse of pop culture references and movie dialogue in my head, and I also enjoy composing soundscapes and music. These aspects are part of what colors my filmmaking style. I am interested in many types of projects, and look forward to hearing about yours! **Employment and project experience** National Federation of High School Associations (NFHS) Sports Network Videographer/Producer Live Videographer and producer for high school sports competitions.
