My marketing experience ranges from developing communications aimed at consumers, small and large businesses, partners and internal teams which may be relevant in a position that addresses multiple audiences. My time working in tech companies means I learn new tools and techniques fast. I’m used to writing and designing directly within systems and apps to create marketing communications appropriate for different kinds of digital media, whilst applying brand standards and the appropriate tone of voice. In recent marketing roles I have used market data together with sales targets to develop marketing plans, usually in the form of quarterly campaigns designing tactics to work across a variety of media. I am therefore adept at developing communications towards targets, ensuring that marketing efforts are compelling, effective and accountable. I’m a highly organised project manager used to juggling projects and priorities. I have worked for many years in matrix organisations, co-ordinating with colleagues in other teams, ie; corporate comms, direct sales, channel and reseller, technical and product marketing teams – towards delivery of programmes and campaigns. My in-depth knowledge of loyalty marketing in my different roles with InterContinental Hotels Group developed an understanding of incentive marketing – working on tiered loyalty points promotions in conjunction with the hotels and booking channels, and developing rewards incentives through partners. These projects and programmes involved analysing customer data, demographics, purchase behaviours both from ecommerce data and in-hotel, plus follow-on activity, in order to develop rewards schemes and bonuses. My expertise in relationship marketing continued in my recent roles at RWS with my partner programme responsibilities both for the translation industry associations and academic partner programmes. These required creative tactics to promote partner benefits with limited marketing budget. As part of my latest marketing position, I had responsibility for developing and delivering internal communications explaining our marketing campaign activities, sometimes as awareness briefings or as part of a sales enablement. These would include, reports, internal briefings and presentations, as well as posts on progress and major milestones to our internal communications (VivaEngage) platform. In the last three years I have worked remotely travelling to the office around once a month. This has helped me to develop my own techniques for working effectively from home whilst also entering projects details centrally to ensure full transparency for my team on my activities. Project tracking software tools that I have used recently include; Monday, Asana and ClickUp. I thoroughly enjoy the marketing process. I’m very keen to apply my marketing skills and expertise working in a team and look forward to increasing my knowledge in a new, exciting and creative environment.
