Irene Fortunato is a multidisciplinary musician, composer and sound designer based in San Salvo, Italy. I hold a Second-Level Degree in Music and New Technologies from the L. Cherubini Conservatory in Florence and lead Chroma – Music and Sound, a team of audio technicians, sound designers and composers working on multimedia productions. I have extensive experience in music composition and performance, sound design, event and live show organization, and the technical setup and on-site support that makes complex shows run smoothly.
I work across live electronic performances, film sound design, interactive sensor-based performances, and audio/video production for cinema and festival contexts. My recent projects include electronic live sets, sound design for short films, interactive dance collaborations with motion sensors, and collaborations with Gaia Trabalzini on video art pieces that fuse visuals with sound.
