Murat Eyuboglu is a Brooklyn-based filmmaker, cinematographer, and writer who specializes in visually driven documentary storytelling and nimble, well-run productions. He develops concepts and scripts, shoots in the field (often in remote environments), and then supervises post from offline through final delivery—partnering with specialist editors, colorists, and sound designers when a project needs deeper finishing firepower. His work includes the feature documentary The Colorado (director/producer/cinematographer/co-writer), the dance-on-film Houses of Zodiac (premiered at The Broad Museum), and Claude Lévi-Strauss: Return to the Amazon (assistant director). Shorter works include Mother of the Air and Land, Water, Life, made in collaboration with Indigenous communities in the Amazon. He is currently finishing Dreams of Muri (feature doc) and producing The Amazon, a long-form project on the social and ecological history of the river basin. With a PhD in musicology, a decade of university teaching, and years as Managing Editor at RILM, Murat brings strong research, structure, and pacing to story-driven films—without pretending one person should do every job. He’s available for directing, field producing, cinematography, and post-production coordination.
