Francisco Rousset, under the artistic project Froussio, is an electroacoustic composer, sound engineer, and researcher working between Latin America and Europe. Originally from Caracas, currently based in Calabria, Italy. His practice rests on three pillars: sound engineer at the Centro Cultural Kirchner (CCK), where he orchestrates complex sonic projects; researcher and creator under Froussio, developing a catalog spanning composition, sound installations, sound design, and interdisciplinary practice; and creative director, tutoring practice at La Guarimba (Italy) and advising brand-driven projects. His perspective is profoundly holistic, grounded in phenomenology (Merleau-Ponty, Flusser). He understands sound, the visual, the conceptual, and the technical as interconnected dimensions of a single phenomenon, where conversation is the true bridge between ideas and their forms. He has collaborated with visual artists such as Constanza Schwartz, filmmakers like Beatrice Sofija Piesliakaite, and producers including Mariana Villafañe.
