I recently graduated from the University of Ottawa with a Master’s degree in Computer Science with a Thesis focused in AI/ML. Alongside this, I worked as a Machine Learning Researcher at the Smart IoT Lab where my role focused on conducting predictive maintenance for a fleet of public buses using machine learning and IoT devices, here in the Ottawa-Gatineau region. My proposed algorithms and methodology reduced downtime, increased reliability, and were published in top conferences and journals. In addition, I also worked as a Teaching Assistant at the University of Ottawa, wherein I had to instruct and mentor over 750+ students on Computer Science and Software and Electrical Engineering courses. Work Experience

Machine Learning Researcher at Smart IoT Lab

January 1, 2023 - Present

Led the training and deployment of predictive maintenance models for a public bus fleet, achieving 100% accuracy in failure detection. Decoded sensor data collected through the J1939 protocol and generated synthetic data for 75 simulated buses using Generative Models with LSTMs. Applied representation learning and unsupervised clustering to predict faults and assess component deterioration in buses.

Teaching Assistant at University of Ottawa

Designed and delivered labs and tutorials, graded assignments and tests, and proctored exams in computer science and electrical engineering courses. Taught foundational concepts including Boolean algebra and circuit design to over 500 students, as well as advanced software reliability and quality assurance concepts to over 250 students using tools such as Selenium, JUnit, and PyUnit.
