For 5 years I worked under private or “white label”developments for the likes of Fred Segal to launch and design a label known as Junk Food. The blanks came from a Brand named Alternative Apparel as they proposed the project to me to design their vintage T’s. We sold to Fred Segal, Kitson and other well-known retailers.
I handled both the choosing of washes of fabrics, bodies and prints with permissions from ownership of Licenses from the likes of Kellogs and Campbell’s soup, amongst other rock band and vintage signage that were identifiable to bring a revolution into the world of high end t-shirts.
For the highest level performance and aerodynamics I was a head designer on a line of swimwear launched from Speedo titled “The Platinum Line”.
The textiles needed were unavailable at the time so developments of both the fabrics and the design of the product was spearheaded by myself and my design partner as an independent contract within the Compay of Speedo itself.
Innovation from concept to campaign were my positions on this particular product line
