GIU COLANERI
Theatrical Space Architect | Set Designer | Lighting Designer | Architecture and Interior Design
I am a multidisciplinary professional with extensive experience in the creation and design of spaces, both theatrical and architectural, combining creativity, technical skill, and aesthetic sensibility. My career spans from the conception of sets and scenic elements for musicals and contemporary theater to architecture, urban planning, lighting, and interior design projects, working in both local and international environments.
In the performing arts, I have collaborated on notable productions such as 30/90 Tributo (2026), Say My Name (2025), and Sugar, Butter, Flour (2025), as well as projects in development such as Rubia Legal, En el Barrio, and Seis. My work includes the complete design of the stage space, the creation of specific elements, and coordination with staging and directing workshops, ensuring that each project enhances the narrative and the visual experience.
As a lighting designer, I have developed lighting projects, lighting studies, budgets, and 3D models for companies such as PKM Iluminación, Grupo MCI, and HER Lighting in Barcelona and Gavà.
In architecture and urban planning, I have experience in design, remodeling, site surveying, and construction management for studios in Italy and Argentina, including residential, commercial, and public projects. I have participated in projects nominated for and awarded at prestigious biennials, such as the Argentine International Architecture Biennial (BIAAR) and the Mies Crown Hall Americas Prize (MCHAP), standing out for innovation in design, energy efficiency, and the revitalization of urban spaces.
I am proficient in 3D modeling and visualization tools, lighting design, technical documentation, administrative procedures, and the coordination of multidisciplinary teams, combining a creative approach with technical rigor to deliver results that integrate aesthetics, functionality, and narrative.
I am looking for new experiences, both professionally and personally. Therefore, working with people from other countries would be a significant advantage for me. I believe it’s never too late to keep learning and sharing interests with others.
It would be a pleasure to meet you.
Thank you in advance.
Best regards.
