My final year dissertation project consists of a 15-minute group film and an accompanying 5000 word essay. As editor, I used myriad sound and colour grading techniques within Adobe Premiere Pro to bring to life the story of a ballerina who develops a loss of hearing. The film was the largest I have worked on thus far and allowed me to become more comfortable working with a director to help bring their creative vision to life while also contributing creatively to aspects of the film myself. I also used my experience of ballet dancing to choreograph the film’s dance sequences, to ensure they would look seamless and emotive in the final edit. This film achieved a First.

A short film that I wrote and directed for the Short Film Production module in the second year of my BA Film, Photography and Media degree. This was my first group film project at university, allowing me to develop my teamwork and communication skills in bringing my creative vision to life with the help of multiple other talents. This film achieved a high 2:1.

Using DaVinci Resolve and a collection of clips provided, I edited a music video for a friend as a project to complete in my spare time outside of my degree. This project allowed me to develop skills around adding more depth and texture to visual media and also helped me to realise that, alongside projects such as Grand-Alan (2023), I thoroughly enjoy working with music in my editing. This is the first editing project I have produced to a specific creative brief and hopefully the first of many.

Solo-project documentary/short film about the life and career of my Grandfather as a jazz drummer. Produced for the Camera and Editing module in year one of my BA Film, Photography and Media degree, accompanied by an in-depth risk assessment and evaluation. This film achieved a First, and is the project I am most proud of.
