Most recently, I’ve immersed myself in the tech world working at cybersecurity scale-up, Immersive Labs, as a back-end software developer, specializing in Ruby-on-Rails, GraphQL, and Python. This role sharpened my problem-solving, coding skills, and my collaborative working and technical communication. I was also exposed to JavaScript, TypeScript, CSS, and HTML, among other technologies and Agile methodologies. In this job, I was a member of the accessibility guild and did a lot of work with the DE&I group, including giving talks on neurodivergence and training colleagues on assistive technology. I also took the lead on creating technical documentation for the features our team built.

Before becoming a developer, I worked with small businesses as a freelance copywriter and editor. I particularly pride myself on my tone of voice for writing for different audiences, and have continued to write for pleasure and in my job at Immersive Labs since moving into tech.

I have also taught English at several schools in South Korea, coached tech professionals in language and communication skills for LingoLive.

Earlier in my career, I dedicated myself to mental health and student welfare, working for both the NHS and the University of Roehampton, applying my Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Philosophy to provide therapeutic CBT-based treatments. This experience grounded me in empathetic communication and a deep understanding of human behavior.
