I believe storytelling exists within all of us and opens possibilities beyond what we know. Storytelling, in its many forms, can be a comfort, a challenge, and a source of entertainment that grounds us while transporting us to new ideas. My story has taken many shapes, but at its core is a love for writing and gaming that has guided every step of my career. Growing up on a ranch in rural Mexico and later teaching English in Texas for six years, I learned how powerful storytelling can be in shaping identity and community. I implemented an esports program, collaborated with educators across far West Texas, and demonstrated that gaming can be a vehicle for connection.
