Born in the countryside of Grenoble, surrounded by mountains, I dreamed as a child of becoming a “volcano painter”. This early relationship with nature, elementary forms, and long timescales now forms the foundation of my practice.
I develop edition pieces that question our relationship to everyday use. In a world that is largely optimized, giving time back to use is giving value back to objects. My work thus explores the ability of objects to introduce moments of pause.
Nourished by the collective imaginaries of childhood, symbolic everyday artifacts from the past, and nature, I like to say that I practice an elementary form of design.
Trained at Strate and Sciences Po Paris, and with experience at Looping, Bigben Connected, Big-Game and Avion Studio, I develop a practice in which drawing, proportion and materiality are closely tied to the realities of manufacturing. My projects are conceived to endure and to contribute to a coherent editorial language within a collection.
Rather than seeking immediate effect, I favor a measured presence: objects capable of opening spaces for attention, waiting, and contemplation, and of offering a moment of breathing room within everyday life.
My aim is to contribute to projects that concretely improve everyday life, by designing objects that are precise, durable, and meaningful.
