About
Hi, I’m Hugo McLaughlin, a composer, pianist, songwriter and producer based in Calgary, Canada. I specialize in instrumental hybrid orchestral scores for film and television and write music for production libraries across the US, Canada, and Europe. Over my career I’ve licensed roughly 2,000 pieces, with show placements spanning multiple TV networks worldwide. I perform solo piano and with bands, have presented in Canada, Europe, and Las Vegas, and I’ve produced several musical theatre productions. I also run private piano instruction and continue to expand my work for diverse multimedia projects.
I’m currently deepening my craft in orchestration for film and television through Berklee’s certificate program while continuing to collaborate with filmmakers and multimedia creators on new scores and creative projects.
