I am an illustrator and fiber artist from Stafford, Virginia. I studied illustration at Savannah College of Art & Design and Crafts & Material Studies at Virginia Commonwealth University's School of the Arts. for a combined total of seven years, and finally transferred to Mary Baldwin college and completed my BA in Art History (minor: Religious Studies) in 2015. I worked as a paraprofessional in libraries during undergraduate studies, and then decided to become a professional librarian to advance my career. I have truly enjoyed my years in public service, but I have reached a point where I feel strongly that something is missing, and I think it is time to embark on an artistic career before it is too late! I also write poetry. I am highly trained in advanced drawing techniques, and favor ink and pencil drawing, to which I may add color. I'm a fan of saturated colors, strong contrast, and textural surfaces.
