On the technical side, I work across Shopify Liquid, HTML, CSS and JavaScript, Online Store 2.0 theme development, Core Web Vitals and performance tuning, and structured data for SEO. I set up and clean up analytics and tracking with Google Analytics 4, Google Tag Manager, Search Console and Merchant Center, and I'm comfortable with Git-based workflows and Cloudflare hosting and infrastructure.     Designed, built and deployed the website for NexCommerce Digital, our Cape Town-based digital commerce studio. It’s a fast, lightweight static site hosted on Cloudflare Pages, with a Git-based deployment workflow.

    A dedicated performance sprint focused on image optimisation and caching lifted mobile PageSpeed from 69 to 90 and cut page load time (LCP) from 11.2 seconds to 3.0 seconds.

    The site includes a clean-URL SEO structure with structured data and a sitemap, Google Analytics 4 conversion tracking for leads, WhatsApp and booking clicks, a spam-protected contact form, and dedicated service pages for Shopify and WooCommerce development.

    The Shopping Queen – Shopify Speed Optimisation & Growth Retainer

    A South African fashion retailer whose Shopify store was held back by slow load times, heavy third-party apps and duplicate tracking scripts.

    I re-encoded the hero video, replaced Boost AI Search with Shopify’s native Search & Discovery, removed unused apps and subscriptions, and resolved duplicate Google Tag Manager tags.

    Result: desktop PageSpeed improved from 45 to 94 and mobile from 28 to 54, and the client now saves around $324 a year in app subscription costs.

    Following the speed project, the client moved onto a monthly growth retainer. Since then I’ve restructured the store’s categories and subcategories, added breadcrumb navigation, built a New Arrivals homepage section, refreshed underused page layouts and kept the theme up to date.

    I designed and developed Apex, a premium Shopify Online Store 2.0 theme for modern product-based brands, focused on clean design, performance and scalability.

    Apex is a flexible foundation for building modern Shopify stores efficiently. It puts a strong emphasis on mobile experience, product presentation and conversion-focused layouts, and includes enhanced structured data to support SEO and richer search results.

    The theme uses reusable sections and a structured layout system, so stores can be set up quickly while the codebase stays clean and easy to maintain. Stores built on Apex stay adaptable and scalable as the business grows.

    Apex is sold commercially, with full installation and configuration documentation, one year of updates and email support.

    Purple Cushhh - Natural Supplements - South Africa

    A premium natural supplements brand serving the South African market. We migrated the business from an outdated, underperforming WooCommerce website to a high-performance Shopify store, relaunching successfully in January 2026. The store has been converting sales consistently since launch.

    Built on a custom Shopify theme, the store includes integrated local payment options (including Payflex buy-now-pay-later), subscription management, and optimisation for local SEO and regulatory compliance. We also cleaned up legacy code left by a previous developer and continue to fine-tune performance and PageSpeed. The result is a conversion-focused, trustworthy shopping experience for premium supplements and wellness programmes.
