Ian Tang (BFA HKAPA, MFA School of Creative Media, City University of Hong Kong) is a Hong Kong-based cross-disciplinary sound artist and composer. As a composer, his work has spanned various media, including contemporary dance, short films, theater productions, and new media performances. In 2025, Ian received a nomination for Best Original Music at the Hong Kong Theatre Awards for the play “Les Fleurs du mal” by the Artocrite Theatre. In the same year, Ian served as sound designer and composer for the work “HAHAHAHAMLET”, which was honored with the Edinburgh Fringe Festival Asian Art Awards - Outstanding Show.In media art, Ian explores the possibilities of ambisonic and spatial audio, as well as the relationship between improvisation and interactive media installations.
