My name is Ilaria, and after spending almost five years helping shape the brand and marketing function of a global SaaS business, I have recently started looking for my next challenge.
Over the last 12 years, I have built a career that doesn’t fit neatly into a single box. I started as a hands-on designer, designing websites, digital products, campaigns and brands from the ground up. As my career
progressed, I naturally moved into leadership positions, taking ownership of creative direction, brand development, and strategic and operational marketing initiatives.
Today, I sit comfortably between creativity and commerciality.
I can spend the morning running a brand workshop with senior stakeholders and the afternoon refining a landing page, reviewing campaign creative or building a design system. I understand the strategic conversations that happen in the boardroom, but I also know what it takes to bring ideas to life through thoughtful execution.
Most recently, as Brand and Design Manager at ActiveOps, a global SaaS company serving banking, insurance, healthcare and business services organisations, I have helped evolve the company’s brand
presence across multiple international markets. My role has spanned everything from visual identity development, campaign creation and sales enablement through to executive stakeholder management,
brand governance and strategic planning.
Along the way, I’ve led creative projects with significant commercial impact, contributed to campaigns that generated millions in pipeline, facilitated brand workshops with senior leadership, managed agencies and suppliers, and worked closely with sales, product, and marketing teams to ensure brand activity supports business growth rather than simply looking good.
What has always driven me is the same thing: building brands that people remember.
I’m passionate about quality. Not just good design, but the kind of work that creates recognition, trust and long-term value. I care deeply about the craft, but equally about the outcome. Creativity, to me, is a
business tool. It should solve problems, create opportunities and move organisations forward.
I know you’ll meet many talented designers, marketers and creative leaders. What I believe sets me apart is the ability to operate across all three disciplines while remaining hands-on. I can lead, strategise, challenge, mentor and execute. I enjoy getting stuck in just as much as I enjoy shaping the bigger picture.
