The Chicago Bulls introduced a dynamic new way to celebrate and showcase their storied legacy—an approach that earned them an Image Award. This project features a curated blend of verses by Common and historic commentary from various Bulls announcers spanning multiple eras. DJ Flipside produced and arranged the audio mix to capture the energy, pride, and evolution of the Chicago Bulls franchise. In a deliberate creative choice, he adapted the lyric “Coming from the Southside of the Chi” to “Coming from the Chi,” reflecting an inclusive tribute to the entire city of Chicago.

This Emmy Award-winning music video was created in collaboration with the Chicago Bulls, who engaged The Flipside Method to produce a custom “Tiny Desk”-style rendition of Rapper’s Delight. Music production was led by DJ Flipside of The Flipside Method, with additional keyboard contributions by Marquee. DJ Flipside also contributed to post-production, re-editing portions of the video to ensure precise alignment between audio and visual elements.

I handled the full design and post-production workflow for the on-screen lyrics, including typography layout, motion graphics, and timing synchronization. I also performed video editing, audio mixing of the original track, and co-production of the music in collaboration with DJ Heavy. Additionally, I contributed to the topline and lyrical composition alongside Jake Gatsby.
