I am Marque Gilmore, internationally acclaimed drummer whose live performances pioneered the birth of the Live DRUM'n'BASS movement in the UK & NYC. From the early NYC experimental scenes to leading boundary-pushing projects like DRUM-FM, I fuse ancient rhythms with modern technology to create immersive sound experiences. As Musical/Creative Director for DRUM-FM and the Stockholm-based KULT-U-REAL, I curate performances and education programs that blend music, media, and interactive art. I am deeply committed to humanitarian work through music, channeling energy into campaigns like WATER CHANGES EVERYTHING to fund clean water wells for Maasai communities in Tanzania. My work spans performance, installation, filmmaking, VR design, and interactive theatre, always in pursuit of 'Science-Friction-Drum-and-Space'. I have collaborated with legends across jazz, pop, and world music—from Sting and Omar Sosa to Angelique Kidjo and Talvin Singh—producing and remixing through my Tribal Broadcast projects. Through JUNGLIST BREAKS vs. HUMAN MISTAKES and Beyond Music collaborations, I aim to inspire social change and climate justice while continuing to push the boundaries of live electronic and multi-media performance.

uniE608 LIQUID STONE LIBATIONS (short film; multimedia installation component)
Commissioned and co-funded by Creative Europe Programme of the European Union, Savvy Contemporary (Berlin, Germany), 3D Research (Cosenza, Italy), and Atlantis Consulting (Thessaloniki, Greece) as part of an artist residency programme in Cosenza, 2021-2022. Liquid Stone Libations is a breathing-prayer-ritual in sound, image, text, object and light. This film and its soundtrack are components of a large-scale interactive installation with projected film, residency-specific composed music, paint-printed fabrics, riso print collages, found artefacts and an immersive VR-component. Liquid Stone Libations tells the stories within a cross-dimensional and sea-crossing “Traveler’s Tale” both in reaction to and inspired by human migrations – physical, cultural, and spiritual – as well as in  seeking continued connections with ancient travellers lost at sea. Archeo-Astronomy, ancient Sumerian Time-Keeping, African Rhythm Traditions, Future-Music Tribalism connecting time, cultures, people and art through word, sound, visuals, nature and shared space. LIQUID STONE LIBATIONS official Exhibition presentation opened in October 2021 in Thessolaniki, Greece; Full installation at SAVVY Contemporary in Berlin 13th Nov and followed in Calabria/Cosenza, Italy closing in April 2022. Historical and technical information from underwater archaeologist Michele Stefanile and divers/underwaterfilmmakers Matteo Collina and Antonio Lagudi informed Marque Gilmore’s music compositions, a new film work and storyline created collectively by the team and filmed in Cosenza and surrounding areas (including the underwater sequences) plus texts imbued by the residency experience to support the film and the stories to be shared within the exhibition space In meeting Ibrahima Ley, one of the "migrants” from Rivoluzione delle Seppie during the residency in Cosenza, a new character was created for the film. It fulfilled an important ancestral through line for the story (and the storyboard). Having his blessed participation in the film helped the team to connect deeper with the larger goals of the residency and our own personal missions to connect time, cultures, people, and art.
