Growing up in Dakar, between the neighborhoods of Gibraltar, Centenaire, Plateaux, and HLM guinaw rail, Jaymdel is lulled by the multicultural dimension between the Cuban sounds of his father's playlists and the one that gives the mix of Senegal, both ethnic and musical. As a teenager, he made deejay mixes for national radios. As if to compensate for the mixes he decided to compose instrumentals himself. Dakar and the ethnic rhythms inspire him a style, from the percussion of Doudou Ndiaye Rose to the nostalgia of Orchestra Baobab. Thus comes the beginning of collaborations with hip-hop artists.
