I'm a contemporary guitarist that has always had a passion for making music, and perhaps most importantly, a passion for the journey of finding out what it is about music that makes people feel what they do. I have composed for a number of years, and have countless ideas for various rock and metal projects. I'm a much more diverse musician than simply rock and metal music, though. I love timbre, dynamics, rhythm and especially harmony, and how this quartet combined can create rich sonic landscapes. I enjoy the irony of Light and shade, love and hate, joy and sadness, peace and war. I particularly enjoy the struggle of the nature of balance. I like to compose ideas in a number of different styles, and in a number of different ways. As I'm a guitarist, I quite like to begin a composition with sounds and timbres different to the guitar. I find it helps unlock my mind when inspiration dries up. The absence of timbral familiarity unlocks different expressive avenues within my mind. I have a midi guitar which helps me bring all kinds of music to life. I have a great ear for music, thanks to 22 years of transcribing an assortment of material from a variety of different contexts. The advantage here is that I can pick out notes and harmonies very well, as well as sounds and timbres. So if you have a particular sound you want to achieve, inspired by a song you have heard, I have plenty of experience, curiosity and tools to help us get there. I'm looking to up my composing and producing game. I want to build my experience and lend my finely tuned ear to your projects. I want to have fun with what we do, serve your music as best as I can, learn, and have fun in the process.

    paper Hindsight (2020)

Written in December 2020, looking forward to 2021, this track is the byproduct of channelling some feelings carried throughout the year. This was very much a spontaneous creation, yet it embodies a lot of sounds I enjoy. The heaviness of a 7 string guitar, the rock influence of the chord pattern, the 80s inspiration within the synths, and an inspired theme and variation approach that comes to an end in the final measures of the song.

    paper A Gentleman's Hurricane

A Gentleman’s Hurricane was written to embody the struggle within, with particular emphasis on a gentle nature. Then, the explosiveness of man when he encounters the mounting challenges within a society that encourages oppression on many levels. The “alienation” of the mM7 chord at the end of the piece is there to invoke curiosity.

    paper Comó Me Haces Sentir

A short piano instrumental, formed from a burst of inspiration to write something spacious and emotive using this fantastic piano instrument.

Very much a spur of the moment composition, which is the reason for the title, Spanish for How You Make Me Feel.

    paper Fields of Victory

Having purchased a new sound library, the horn sounds in particular inspired me to write this. Featuring chromatic harmony, and inheriting a spacious “super hero” type quality, Fields of Victory seemed a suitable name.

Written for fun, and currently undergoing rearranging and resampling.

    paper Jayngle Bells

Here is my interpretation of Jingle Bells, with a punk rock shred type instrumental twist! This brings together the jollity of the traditional song, paying homage to the influences of punk, rock and shred genres that inspired me as a young guitar player.
