Hi, I’m Jim Johnston. I’m a freelance video producer, photographer, and FAA Part 107 drone pilot with 30 years of experience in video, photography, audio, and aerial cinematography. I bring hands-on technical skill and creative vision to every project, delivering high-quality content that resonates with audiences.
Over the past 15 years I’ve mostly worked remotely with advertising agencies, music artist management teams, and corporate clients. I maintain a full toolkit—4K/6K capable drones, multiple 4K cameras, lighting and audio gear, and a complete 4K editing workstation—so I can produce efficient, independent work. My content has appeared on television including PBS/KVIE broadcasts, and I specialize in telling real human stories and creating visually compelling music visuals.
