Hi there and welcome to my Twine Page!
My name is Jeff and I’m a musician. I specialize in both composition (traditional and film) and violin performance. What sets me apart is my vast professional experience AND my ability to compose quickly and professionally. One of my strongest skillsets is the ability to create music that perfectly FITS the story being told.
In the past year my compositions have been played in Telluride, Norway, and Naples, FL. My performing has brought me to the SING! Festival in Nashville and to solo concerts in Colorado and Florida.
As a traditional composer I have written a lot for string groups, chamber ensembles, and have created unique arrangements as well. I also collaborate and write music that accompanies the visual artists and film. I am able to write music that accompanies the visual and story-like elements (See below for a list of commissions/performances).
As a violinist I am also highly skilled – able to play and record in both classical, jazz, and cross-over styles. I have played with the Naples Philharmonic (15 years), have done solo recitals all over the United States, and can also do gypsy jazz, improvisation, and live looping.
Here is a list of my recent composition and performance experiences:

A unique combination of violin, piano and hip hop creates an incredible rendition of “Mary did you know” that you won’t soon forget!
This composition is simply about the beauty and glory of creation. The words of the Psalmist come to mind: “The heavens declare the glory of God; And the firmament shows His handiwork.” (Psalm 19:1). To this day, when I look upon all that is above us, I am still filled with awe and wonder.
This song is my arrangement of the beloved Christmas classic. It was created via live looping: improvised bass , percussion, and violin during the performance. It was recorded live at the Naples Botanical Gardens’ Night Lights Series.
This composition is for Eb Clarinet and Piano. It’s a morning tale! Roasted (coffee) and Toasted (food/getting tired), what every morning is like for me. This would be a great song to accompany a fun short film as well.
This piece is based on the Beatles’ Blackbird. It’s an arrangement for violin and clarinet and is a lot of fun to play.
This is my arrangement of Angelo DeBarre’s “Swing Gitan.” It is truly a masterpiece in the Gypsy Jazz genre. This is my live performance at the Wright Opera House in Ouray, Colorado.
This is a Violin and strings composition to accompany a visual film of Southwest Florida nature scenes caught via the photography of Dennis Goodman.
This composition is based on a beautiful piece of art by Ann Dettmar. I met Ann a few years back and it was such a pleasure to be able to set music to some of her artwork last year. The art is a snowy scene in small Colorado town, simply titled “6th and Main.”
