Jessica is an award-winning actress, director, writer, producer, and editor from Akron, Ohio, now based in Los Angeles after many years in New York City. Since graduating from a two-year, intensive NY acting conservatory in 2019 and studying at the Sundance Institute, Jessica has gone on to write, direct, produce, and star in films that have played at numerous film festivals including Dances With Films, Montclair Film Festival, HollyShorts, Big Apple Film Festival, and many more. She won Outstnanding Directorial Debut for her feature Escaping Ohio at the ‘23 Washington West Film Festival, A USA Today Top 10 film festival. She also won Best Director for her short Escaping Ohio, won Best Actress for her performance in Jane, and was nominated for her performance in the Escaping Ohio feature at the Vashon Island Film Festival amongst the Sundance-winning, Scrapper, and TIFF favorite, I Like Movies. Jessica wrote, directed, produced and stars in the upcoming feature film Escaping Ohio. Alongside Jessica, the film stars Collin Kelly-Sordelet (Radium Girls, Wildling), Emily Bergl (Shameless, Desperate Housewives), and Adam Pascal (Rent, School of Rock). The film had its World Premiere at the TCL Chinese Theatres July ‘23 and is currently in talks for distribution while playing at other top tier film festivals. When she was 10 years old, she wrote the script for School of Rock 2 and a cover letter addressed to Richard Linklater casting herself in the movie.
