What Lies Beneath is a science fiction horror novel centered around a marine biologist that is investigating a string of ocean-going individuals disappearances. Shrouded in mystery as to what may be causing it all, the biologist, Marcus Mattheson, is desperate for any answers he can find. Will he make the discovery a success, or is he way over his head in what he’s gotten himself into?

I based this novel concept and design around popular works from Peter Benchley like Jaws, White Shark, and Beast, while also incorporating many scientifically reasoned logic and explanations into the manuscript in a manner inspired by renowned Sci Fi author Michael Crichton.
