A corporate design was created for Emergent Vernacular Architecture, a London based architectural studio working in the field of social housing. The logo has a geometric construction, abstracting the word mark into single lines that form stabilising and dynamic elements. The letterhead and cards introduce an isometric dot grid to the visual identity.
The branding for the office development project Element B distills the essence of its location on Brunnenstraße, within Berlin’s culturally diverse Brunnenviertel district. True to its name, the design draws inspiration from the periodic table.
The brochure celebrates Berlin’s diversity through a rich palette of colours and bold typography. The city’s artistic spirit is also captured on the book’s cover: Each of the heads, which are based on graffiti found in Berlin, is individually painted with watercolour. Additionally, the brochure features four variations of coloured edges.
Erui is an organic cosmetics company founded on the principles of low waste production and skincare made exclusively from ingredients of natural origin. While retaining the existing logo, various lines of packaging and promotional materials were designed, embodying the clean, pure aesthetic and ethos of the company.
The sleeve and labels for Anna Valgreen’s vinyl Lydløst Spor (Silent Track) were designed using one of the Danish artist’s paintings, reflecting her work not only in music but also in the visual arts.
A visual identity was developed for an iconic building in Hamburg’s skyline, designed by architect Werner Kallmorgen for IBM in 1964. Inspired by the building’s façade and its original occupant, the brand design is based on a historic data storage medium, the punched card. Conceived as a modular design, the shapes of the logo mutate according to the word mark.
The project book draws on the building’s heritage and the visual language of the period, portraying its transition through time. The dynamic design system is applied to the cover, featuring punched holes reminiscent of the data cards.
Process X is a collaboration with the Malaysian musician Bayangan. The interactive installation engaged with the idea of numbers as a universal language, utilising them as a communication tool between different forms of media. It was exhibited in 2021 at Now&Them in Shanghai’s M50 art district.
A limited edition of 50 7-inch clear vinyls were produced, containing Bayangan’s “Timur Laut – Barat Daya” and access to the programme. The records are encased between two layers of transparent sleeves which feature particles taken from the installation. The covers were screen printed by Celcea Tifani at PNPRESS in Shanghai.
