I am pleased to share my portfolio compilations from the past years. This portfolio represents my skill development from the three disciplines, which is Motion Graphic, Illustration and Graphic Design. Following my recent internship, I have refined my focus to where these three intersects, when design is not only about aesthetics, but also as a way to connect, to bridge and to provide clarity across cultures.
- Illustration: In order to create the pendant jewelry, I utilize Clip Studio Paint since I love drawing and I want to ensure the assets have a hand-drawn quality
- Branding: As for the jewelry brand, I utilize Adobe Illustrator in order to create the logo
- Animation & Assembling: After I created the motion graphic videos in Adobe After Effects, I assembled them in Adobe Premiere Pro
- Typography: I also added my own font creation into this project in order to make the brand truly unique
This project was being created in order to improve my technical ability in Adobe After Effects. Thus I set out a promotional video about a high-end, fictional pendant jewelry for a luxury jewelry brand.
Here’s the breakdown of what I did:
This project taught me a lot about the intersection between motion graphic videos with typography, brand identity and illustration.
- Research: Questionnaire among children aged 7-11 years old and Interviews toward a parent & a psychologist
- Analyzing: The results of the research were being analyzed in form of User Persona
- Layout & typography: In order to create an illustration book, I utilized Adobe InDesign for layoutting while Adobe Illustrator were being utilized for creating the title & the typography
- Storytelling: This storytelling revolves around the experience of a bystander in relational bullying—and how they helped to stop the cycle
- Illustration: I utilized Clip Studio Paint in order to create the character designs and environment design for the storytelling
- Market Validation: In order to refine what had been created from the book, I did an in-depth interview towards the target audience
This project was my thesis project to the university where I created an Illustrated Children Book about Relational Bullying for children aged 7-11 years old. This theme was being chosen to improve their comprehension regarding to this type of bullying and improving their empathy towards the victim of relational bullying.
What I did in this project:
This project taught me how to create an effective communication way about a complex social behavior like relational bullying toward children as the target audience in order to be relatable for them
