My name is Ji Yoo Kim, and I am a fall 2026 graduating student at the University of Toronto, majoring in Book and Media Studies with minors in sociology and equity studies. I have great interest in public speaking, content creation, social media, event planning, public relations, and marketing. Previously, I worked as a marketing and communications assistant for the University of Toronto’s Acceleration Consortium, supporting conference planning and logistics for the annual Accelerate Conference. In this role, I assisted in managing data entry, created promotional materials, drafted emails and forms, and coordinated with diverse stakeholders. At the conference, I helped with setting up and cleaning up, ushered guests, and assisted the registration desk. Through this experience, I also had the great opportunity to strengthen my ability to balance independent tasks with collaborative teamwork. Previously, I also worked as a PR and marketing manager for W Korea. I coordinated with sponsors, government agencies, influencers, and media partners to deliver high‑profile events. In my previous roles as a social media editor for the St. Michael’s College yearbook and an executive leader for Innis College orientation, I’ve had the opportunity to plan, support, and promote student-centred events that foster connection and community. I was in charge of designing posters and social media graphics such as stories, posts, and reels.
