I’m Kobe Overby, an award-winning writer and educator based in Seattle. I am drawn to poetry, pedagogy, and photography, and I enjoy exploring how art intersects with mental health and community learning.
I earned my MFA from the University of Washington in 2025 with a poetry manuscript titled Wood Carving of a Hazel Grouse. I earned my BA in English/Creative Writing from Colorado State University in 2023, with a minor in Philosophy. I have taught composition and poetry, organized literary events, and collaborated with students from diverse backgrounds to nurture curiosity and creativity.
