Kristaps Griva

I am an experienced Motion Graphics Designer based in Latvia, with a proven track record since 2006 in the field. My background includes 14 years working in the demanding environment of a major TV station, delivering graphics for news and live broadcasts.

My core specialty is motion graphics, covering everything from graphic elements, lower thirds, After Effects/Premiere Pro templates (expressions, scripting, automation) to packshots, logo animation, and infographics, 3D (modeling, texturing, animation, rendering, compositing), integrating both 2D and 3D elements into live video, footage cleanup, sign replacement, etc.

For the past 20 years, my primary toolset has been Cinema 4D and the Adobe Creative Suite, with a strong focus on After Effects (with Trapcode, Universe, Geolayers).

I started my career as a 3D graphics generalist in one of the country’s first studios. While mostly self-taught, I have formal CG education from Teikyo Marycrest University in Davenport, Iowa, and animation courses at Silicon Graphics Studios in Santa Monica, LA.
