    The Winning Pass

A full-color children’s picture book illustrated for a sports-themed story about friendship and teamwork on the ice. The story follows Liam, Maya, and Noah as they try out a new play during a hockey game, learning that the best win comes from playing as a team.

    My role on this project:

    • Character design and consistent illustration of three young leads across the full story
    • Ice rink and outdoor setting illustrations, capturing morning and sunset lighting
    • Visual pacing to match the story’s build-up, the big game moment, and the quiet, satisfying ending
    • Cover and interior art prepared for digital publishing

This one was a fun change of pace from my usual work same care for consistent characters and warm, readable scenes, just on the ice instead of in a garden or classroom.

    The Best Project in Class

A full-color children’s picture book illustrated for a story about teamwork, disagreement, and working things out following two classmates as they build a class project together, hit a rough patch when their ideas clash, and find their way back to collaboration in time for the big presentation.

    My role on this project:

    • Character design for two young leads with distinct, consistent looks across every scene
    • Full classroom and school environment illustrations, including background students and teacher
    • Visual storytelling across the emotional arc — from excitement, to friction, to resolution and celebration
    • Consistent lighting and color mood throughout to keep the warm, everyday classroom feel

This project was about capturing a relatable moment for kids: working with a friend isn’t always easy, but the result is better together.

The Little Star in Our Home

A full-color children’s picture book written and illustrated for Kindle Direct Publishing (KDP), following a young girl named Amara as she discovers her own light through a warm evening conversation with her parents.

I handled every part of this project from concept to publish-ready file:

    • Story writing, aimed at a 3-6 age range
    • Character design and full-spread illustrations, kept consistent across every scene
    • Cover design and typography
    • Text layout and placement within each illustrated spread
    • Full interior formatting for KDP print and e-book publishing

This project reflects how I like to work: building a book’s visual world around its story, so every illustration feels like it belongs to the same warm, cohesive world from cover to final page.
