I’m Lauren Conklin, a composer from Nashville, Tennessee. I began composing full-time in 2019 after landing my first feature film, As Real As You Make It, and I’ve since scored features Abigail and Life and Death, the audiobook trailer for Pierce Brown’s best seller Light Bringer, and award-winning shorts such as Windyville, To Engage, and WWSD. I’ve served as Composer Assistant on Tyler Perry’s The Oval (Seasons 5 and 6) and was a featured composer at the 2023 LunART Festival, and I premiered my first dance commission, In Her Step, with Central Arts and Amanda Howard in summer 2025. I’ve performed as a touring string player across country, bluegrass, and pop, at venues from Royal Albert Hall to the Grand Ole Opry and on TV programs including The Colbert Show, the CMT Awards, and The Today Show. My sound blends classical orchestration with world folk influences from my international studies, and I’ve arranged and recorded strings for artists such as Jelly Roll, HARDY, Jax, Lukas Graham, Russell Dickerson, Kylie Morgan, Skylar Astin, Da sha, New Hope Club, and more. As a solo artist I’ve released three EPs and a collection of cinematic pieces that have earned international recognition, with support from composers Giancarlo Castro D’Adonna, Jose Augustine Sanchez, and Eddy Marcano, plus radio play on classical stations in the US and Latin America.
