My name is Lauren Emery, I am a Swiss-Canadian filmmaker based in Vancouver, Canada. I am recent graduate from the BA Motion Picture Arts program at Capilano University I have a strong passion for visual storytelling and post-production workflows. Throughout film school, I have had the opportunity to explore all areas of filmmaking, but I have found that post-production is where I excel. I am drawn to the focused and creative environment of the edit suite, and the power that editing holds in immersing audiences into new perspectives. Through both academic and independent projects, I have developed hands-on experience navigating workflows across DaVinci Resolve, Avid Media Composer, Premiere Pro, After Effects, and Pro Tools. This has involved syncing video and audio files, managing various technical components, assisting in colour grading, sound design, and preparing final deliverables. I am comfortable adapting to new systems and value efficiency, organization, and attention to detail.
