Hi! I’m LA Villavicencio, a designerstrator (designer + illustrator) — an artist who merges the precision of a designer with the storytelling of an illustrator. With over a decade of experience in graphic design, illustration, and hand-lettering, I bring ideas to life through visuals resonate because they are well thought-out, striking, and deeply human. Having focused on development communications for the last 3 years, I have produced creative materials that speak to a wide range of audiences—from grassroots communities and families to policymakers and the youth. My work has been used across social media pages, traditional media products, paperback novels, event posters and museum exhibits. My visual aesthetic leans warm and tactile, shaped by his advocacy for preserving history and my love for classic films and timeless visual narratives, while he explores newer styles. Whether working on community campaigns or brand storytelling, I have always demonstrated a keen sense of what resonates across different audiences. Outside the studio, I find creative fuel in crafting, cooking, and uncovering new sources of inspiration. I am open to collaborations that expand on creative boundaries.
