My professional journey in sound design and audio engineering has been shaped by a wide range of technical and creative experiences. It began during my university studies, where I immersed myself in the world of audio recording, mixing, and mastering. Over four years, I built a diverse portfolio of music productions across genres such as jazz, classical, pop, and electronic—both in live and studio settings. This hands-on work, paired with my roles as a live concert recording and audio engineer, provided me with extensive experience in signal flow, digital and analog processing, and the use and maintenance of professional hardware and software. A key highlight of my academic journey was participating in the Erasmus Exchange Program at Edinburgh Napier University. This three-month experience broadened my international perspective and strengthened my collaboration and communication skills. My bachelor thesis, “Binaural Space Virtualization,” explored the use of binaural technology to simulate real acoustic environments, offering musicians spatial reference during studio recordings in acoustically dry rooms. The project combined scientific research with practical implementation, reflecting my interest in immersive sound. After graduating, I joined one of Lithuania’s leading TV broadcast companies. Starting as an audio engineer in a smaller OB van, I soon advanced to a leadership role, where I reorganized the van’s equipment to meet the demands of lower-budget productions. This sharpened my understanding of cabling, signal routing, and the nuances of broadcast system design. I was later promoted to chief audio engineer for the company’s largest 12-camera HD OB van, responsible for major national and international broadcasts. Here, I led the upgrade of the van’s audio systems from stereo to 5.1, overseeing everything from planning and design to installation. This role demanded precision, adaptability, and calm decision-making under pressure—skills I refined working in fast-paced, live broadcast environments. Seeking a more creative role, I transitioned to UAB “Wide Wings,” one of Lithuania’s top audiovisual content companies. As head of the sound department, I oversee the entire audio production pipeline: location recording, sound design, editing, music supervision, mixing, and mastering. I also direct the creative vision for audio content while ensuring technical quality and timely delivery. My work spans corporate videos, short documentaries, commercials, tourism pieces, and social campaigns, many of which have received both national and international recognition.
