I was born and raised in San Diego, California, and I started playing piano at the age of 7. I received classical and jazz training, and church attendance on Sundays immersed me in gospel music. By 9 I was playing gospel piano and organ in church, and I also sang, soaking in all kinds of music in the neighborhood. Over the years I toured across the US, England, Scotland, Europe, the Caribbean, the Mexican Riviera, New Zealand, Korea and on cruise ships. I served as the music director for Legends In Concert in Hawaii. I lived in Osaka, Japan for 19 years and collaborated with Japanese pop stars such as Mai Kuraki. I’ve written music for radio jingles, TV and commercials, recorded singles and CDs, and produced songs and CDs for other artists. Today, my songs have enjoyed years of radio airplay. I earned a music scholarship at Jackson State University and was later accepted to Berkley College of Music.
