Hello! My name is Lyra Gaboardi, an illustrator and concept artist with a special interest in real and fantasy animals. I majored in Integrative Animal Biology and hope to take the knowledge I’ve learned in my education and put it towards my art. I am self-taught and explore various media. I have been making ink-on-paper drawings for 5+ years, but I have expanded into 2D digital drawings in the past 2 years. I also enjoy using colored pencils and charcoal, as well as pyrography. Most of my work has been for personal enjoyment and practice, but I created scientific illustrations to accompany a paper I published in 2023 describing a new fish parasite.
